UK ETS treats UK-domestic shipping as a separate scheme from EU ETS - UK allowances (UKAs) are not interchangeable with EUAs. UK-EU voyages sit under EU ETS; UK-UK voyages under UK ETS. A ship doing mixed domestic and international work splits its annual emissions between the two schemes based on voyage end-points.
