Code for Approval of Ballast Water Management Systems, MEPC.300(72).
The Code for Approval of Ballast Water Management Systems, adopted by resolution MEPC.300(72), sets the type-approval process for the treatment systems used to meet the BWM Convention D-2 standard. Mandatory from 13 October 2019, it standardizes the land-based and shipboard testing, the system design limitations, and the documentation administrations require before approving a system.
