GENCON 2022

The 2022 edition of BIMCO’s GENCON, the most widely used general-purpose dry-cargo voyage charter party. It updates the long-serving GENCON 1994 with reworked laytime and demurrage machinery, a clearer notice-of-readiness regime, modern sanctions, war, and electronic-document provisions, and a revised payment structure. As a tramp voyage form it leaves freight and the loading and discharging cost split to be negotiated in the recap rather than fixed by the printed clauses.
