Definition

Solent area sailing club.

Hamble River Sailing Club is an English sailing club on the west bank of the River Hamble near Southampton, Hampshire, founded in August 1919 by nine local men to encourage small-boat sailing and racing. It sits at the mouth of the Hamble on the Solent and runs a winter racing series along with dinghy and keelboat events. The club keeps its proper British name; it is one of several long-standing clubs clustered around the Hamble and Solent racing waters.
