Hong Kong industry promotion body.

The Hong Kong government’s maritime-promotion body, established 1 April 2016 by merging the former Maritime Industry Council and Port Development Council. The HKMPB advises the government on developing Hong Kong as an international maritime center, covering ship finance, marine insurance, legal and arbitration services, and manpower. It is chaired by the Secretary for Transport and Logistics and supported by the Transport and Logistics Bureau, working alongside the Marine Department and the registered Hong Kong shipping fleet.
