The maritime-services concentration in Hong Kong, an established Asian hub for ship finance, ship management, marine insurance, and admiralty law and arbitration. Hong Kong runs an open ship registry that ranks among the world’s largest by tonnage, served by the Marine Department and the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board. The cluster groups shipowners, banks providing ship finance, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, P&I correspondents, and classification-society offices serving Greater China trade.
