International Hydrographic Organization, intergovernmental body for hydrography.
The International Hydrographic Organization is the intergovernmental body, headquartered in Monaco, that coordinates national hydrographic offices, sets survey and charting standards, and maintains the S-100 family of data standards. It defines the accuracy orders for surveys in S-44 and the content of electronic navigational charts. Its standards underpin SOLAS chart-carriage requirements and the move to digital S-101 ENCs.
