International Code for the Safe Carriage of Packaged Irradiated Nuclear Fuel, mandatory under SOLAS VII.
The International Code for the Safe Carriage of Packaged Irradiated Nuclear Fuel, Plutonium and High-Level Radioactive Wastes is mandatory under SOLAS Chapter VII. It sets three INF cargo classes by total radioactivity and prescribes damage stability, fire protection, temperature control, and emergency arrangements for ships carrying these cargoes, supplementing the IMDG Code Class 7 requirements.
