Employer side of IBF negotiations.
The International Maritime Employers’ Council is the employers’ organization that bargains with the ITF over seafarer wages and conditions through the International Bargaining Forum. IMEC represents shipowners and managers in setting the internationally agreed crew wage scales that apply to a large share of the global workforce, sitting opposite the seafarers’ unions in the IBF process. It also funds cadet training berths through its training schemes.
