LEG/CONF

LEG/CONF is the IMO document-series prefix for diplomatic conferences convened on the work of the Legal Committee (LEG). The Legal Committee prepares conventions on maritime liability and compensation, and a LEG/CONF conference adopts them; examples include the conferences that produced the CLC and Fund regime, the LLMC Convention, the Bunkers Convention 2001, and the Nairobi Wreck Removal Convention 2007. The prefix identifies the conference set of documents, parallel to MSC/CONF and MP/CONF series used for safety and pollution treaty conferences.
