Liverpool John Moores University Maritime Centre

The maritime teaching and research grouping at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) in Liverpool, England, anchored by the Liverpool Logistics, Offshore and Marine Research Institute (LOOM), established in 1998. LOOM works on the design and operation of ships, offshore installations, offshore wind farms, ports, and maritime logistics, and on safety, security, and risk assessment, with partners including Lloyd’s Register, Maersk Line, and the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency. The center offers postgraduate and research degrees in maritime and offshore engineering and logistics.
