NSCC Nautical Sciences

Marine training delivered by the Nautical Institute at the Strait Area Campus of Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, Canada. The programs are Transport Canada-approved and prepare students for sea careers from Bridge Watch Rating upward, using a wave tank, free-fall lifeboat, fire-training center, and navigation and engine-room simulators, with some training at the local Ocean Innovation Centre. Certificates map to Transport Canada Marine Personnel Regulations, which implement the STCW Convention in Canada.
