Red Ensign Group

The Red Ensign Group is the collective of the United Kingdom and the British Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories that operate ship registers under the British flag, including the Isle of Man, Gibraltar, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, and Bermuda among others. Members coordinate registration and survey standards so that ships on any Red Ensign register meet a common standard and benefit from UK consular and diplomatic support. The UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency leads the group, which meets annually as the Red Ensign Group Conference. The arrangement keeps Red Ensign flags consistently on the Paris MoU white list.
