REG Yacht Code (LY3/PYC)

The Red Ensign Group Yacht Code, the flag-state safety and construction code for large commercial and passenger yachts, developed by the REG in 2017 with its first edition effective 2019. Part A consolidates the Large Yacht Code (LY3, originally issued by the UK MCA in 1997) for yachts 24 meters and over in load-line length carrying no more than 12 passengers. Part B is the Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) for yachts carrying more than 12 and up to 36 passengers on international voyages, set against SOLAS 1974.
