Volvo Penta Marine Engines

Volvo Penta, the marine and industrial power arm of the Volvo Group, builds diesel and petrol marine engines and integrated propulsion for leisure boats, light commercial craft, and gensets, alongside the Inboard Performance System sterndrive and pod drives. Marine power ranges from small recreational units to commercial engines around 1,000 horsepower, with electronic vessel control and joystick docking. The commercial and larger units carry classification-society and IMO NOx Tier III type approvals. The brand is most associated with the recreational and light-duty segment rather than deep-sea propulsion.
