ECCAS/ECOWAS framework for Gulf of Guinea security.
The Yaounde Code of Conduct, adopted in 2013 by ECCAS, ECOWAS, and the Gulf of Guinea Commission, is the regional framework for suppressing piracy, armed robbery, and illicit maritime activity in the Gulf of Guinea. It built an architecture of zonal and national maritime coordination centers and an Interregional Coordination Centre at Yaounde to share information and coordinate response. It is the West and Central African counterpart to the Djibouti Code of Conduct for the Horn of Africa.
