Wageningen B-series
B1. Naval ArchitectureDefinition
Open-water propeller series from MARIN.
The Wageningen B-series is the most widely used systematic propeller series, developed at MARIN from open-water tests on fixed-pitch blades spanning blade-area ratios, pitch ratios, and blade numbers. Its $K_T$ and $K_Q$ are published as polynomial fits in $J$, $P/D$, $A_E/A_O$, and $z$, letting a designer pick diameter, pitch, and area for a required thrust and revolutions without new model tests. It remains the default for conventional fixed-pitch propeller selection.
