Bermuda One-Two

The Bermuda One-Two is a double-leg ocean race between Newport, Rhode Island and Bermuda, roughly 635 nautical miles each way. Run by the Newport Yacht Club since 1977 and held every two years, sailors race the outbound leg singlehanded, then return to Newport with a second crew member aboard, hence “one-two.” The format tests both solo and shorthanded ocean skills on the same Gulf Stream crossing that the fully crewed Newport Bermuda Race uses.
