CAGR (Aquaculture Production)

The aquaculture production growth rate is the compound annual rate at which farmed aquatic output expands, the headline metric tracking the sector against capture fisheries. Aquaculture has been the fastest-growing food-production sector for decades; in 2022 it reached 130.9 million tonnes total and, for the first time, its 94.4 million tonnes of aquatic animals surpassed wild capture, at 51 percent of aquatic-animal production. Ten countries, led by China, supplied 89.8 percent of farmed output. FAO projects total aquatic production up about 10 percent by 2032, with aquaculture driving most of the gain.
