EU GNSS constellation.
The European Union’s GNSS, operated by the EU Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) with the European Space Agency, declaring Full Operational Capability service (initial services) in December 2016 and reaching its planned constellation in medium Earth orbit at roughly 23,222 km. Galileo broadcasts on E1, E5, and E6 frequencies and provides the Open Service, the High Accuracy Service, and a government-authorized PRS. Its Open Service Navigation Message Authentication (OSNMA) lets receivers detect spoofing by verifying message signatures, a feature GPS lacks. It is interoperable with GPS for multi-constellation positioning.
