IHS Lloyd's List Intelligence
E1. Maritime security, geopolitics and riskDefinition
Vessel tracking and sanctions intelligence provider.
A commercial maritime data provider supplying vessel particulars, ownership, movement tracking, and risk and sanctions screening used widely in compliance and underwriting. Lloyd’s List Intelligence (with roots in the IHS Markit and Lloyd’s Register Fairplay datasets) maintains ship histories keyed to the IMO number and overlays AIS-derived positions to flag AIS gaps, dark activity, ship-to-ship transfers, and sanctions exposure. It is a private intelligence source, not a regulatory body or an official registry.
