Kongsberg K-Chief

Kongsberg K-Chief is an integrated automation system (IAS) for the machinery plant, marketed by Kongsberg Maritime, that combines alarm monitoring, machinery and process control, power management, and emergency shutdown in one networked platform. Distributed process stations gather field signals and run control logic, while ECR and bridge operator stations provide the human-machine interface and alarm handling. K-Chief integrates the power management system, ballast and cargo control, and condition-monitoring data, and on UMS ships it routes unacknowledged alarms to the duty engineer. It is type-approved by the major classification societies for unattended machinery space operation.
