London Shipping Law Centre

The London Shipping Law Centre (LSLC), based at University College London, is a forum bringing together maritime lawyers, judges, arbitrators, P&I clubs, brokers, and shipping practitioners for education and debate on shipping and transport law. Founded in 1993 and constituted as a charity, it runs lectures, seminars, mock trials, and specialist forums (including maritime business, casualty, and young-practitioner groups) rather than acting as a court or regulator. It serves as a networking and continuing-education body that keeps the London maritime-law community current on case law and market practice.
