Maritime Research Institute Netherlands hydrodynamic facility.

MARIN, the Maritime Research Institute Netherlands in Wageningen, is one of the largest independent ship-hydrodynamics establishments, successor to the Netherlands Ship Model Basin (NSMB). Its facilities include deep-water and shallow-water towing tanks, a seakeeping and maneuvering basin, an offshore basin, a depressurized wave basin for cavitation-correct propeller testing, and large CFD capability. MARIN ran the model series behind the Wageningen B-screw propeller charts and supports resistance, propulsion, seakeeping, maneuvering, and station-keeping work for commercial and naval clients. It contributes to ITTC procedure development and to the benchmark data sets used for CFD validation.
