Vendée-Arctique Race

The Vendee-Arctique is a solo offshore race for IMOCA 60 monohulls, organized by the Vendee Globe team (SAEM Vendee) as a qualifier and preparation event for the round-the-world Vendee Globe. First run in 2020, it starts and finishes at Les Sables-d’Olonne, France and sends the fleet on a loop northward around marks near Iceland in the North Atlantic, roughly 3,500 nautical miles. It lets IMOCA skippers test boats in cold high-latitude conditions.
