Admiral's Cup
F4. Recreational Boating, Yachting and SportDefinition
Royal Ocean Racing Club international team-keelboat series, dormant and revived.
The Admiral’s Cup is an international team yacht-racing series run by the Royal Ocean Racing Club out of Cowes on the Solent, first contested in 1957. Nations entered teams of yachts competing across inshore Solent races and an offshore leg, with the Rolex Fastnet Race long the climactic event. The series ran biennially through 2003, then lapsed; the RORC revived it for 2025 with two-boat national teams. It set the team-racing benchmark for offshore keelboats for decades.
