ICC(A) Institute Cargo Clauses A.
All risks cover is the broadest standard marine cargo policy, written on the Institute Cargo Clauses (A), form CL382 dated 1 January 2009. It insures all loss of or damage to the goods in transit except the exclusions in Clauses 4 to 7: willful misconduct, ordinary leakage and wastage, inherent vice, delay, insufficient packing, insolvency of the carrier, war, strikes, and nuclear risk. It also pays general average and salvage charges adjusted under the contract of carriage. ICC(A) is the cover a CIF or CIP seller buys to meet the higher Incoterms 2020 insurance duty, unlike the named-perils ICC(B) and ICC(C).
