Baltimax

Baltimax is the largest ship able to enter and leave the Baltic Sea fully laden, set by the Great Belt route through the Danish Straits. The binding limits are a draft of 15.4 meters and an air draft near 65 meters, the latter fixed by the clearance under the East Bridge of the Great Belt Fixed Link. A Baltimax runs roughly 240 meters in length and 42 meters in beam for about 100,000 dwt. The Oresund allows only about 8 meters of draft and the Kiel Canal about 9.5 meters, so neither serves as an alternative for a deep ship; the Great Belt is the only deep gate.
