Beluga F-Class

The Beluga F-series was a class of multipurpose heavy-lift project carriers operated by Beluga Shipping of Bremen, Germany, before the company collapsed in 2011. Beluga ran a fleet of more than 60 multipurpose heavy-lift carriers fitted with heavy onboard cranes, adjustable tweendecks, and low draft so they could enter shallow project ports in tramp service. The F-series sat among Beluga’s lettered newbuilding programs (the later P-series ordered 16 ships for 2009 to 2011 delivery). These ships carry indivisible project cargo such as wind-turbine components, plant modules, and yachts, lifting loads up to several hundred tons with paired cranes working in tandem.
