Free online ship-information database operated by EMSA and partners.
Free public database of ship safety and quality information, covering nearly every merchant ship above 100 gross tonnes, more than 85,000 vessels. Created by the European Commission and the French maritime administration, it went live in May 2000; the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) hosts its Management Unit. Equasis aggregates data from over 50 providers including classification societies, port-state-control regimes, and registries: ownership, class, flag, inspections, and detentions, supporting transparency on substandard shipping.
