Phytosanitary standard for wood packaging material.

ISPM 15 is the International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15, set under the IPPC, that regulates wood packaging material such as pallets, crates, and dunnage in international trade. Solid-wood packaging must be heat-treated or fumigated to kill pests and stamped with the IPPC mark showing the country, producer, and treatment code. Non-compliant wood packaging is refused, re-treated, or destroyed at the border, so the mark is checked routinely on inbound containers and break-bulk consignments.
