Hydraulic jacks for SPMT load-out.

A jacking system in load-out is the array of hydraulic jacks or jack-up legs used to lift and lower a heavy structure, an FPSO topside module, a block, or a complete hull, during transfer between the fabrication site and the transport barge or SPMT. Synchronized strand jacks or climbing jacks raise the load so transporters can drive under it, then set it down on the barge or skid track; the system levels the load and shares weight across many points to keep stress within limits. It is the controlled alternative to a single crane lift for loads beyond crane capacity. Loss of jack synchronization can twist or drop the module.
