F4. Recreational Boating, Yachting and SportDefinition
San Francisco to Hawaii biennial race.
The Pacific Cup is a biennial offshore race of roughly 2,070 nautical miles from San Francisco Bay to Kaneohe Bay, Oahu, Hawaii, organized by the Pacific Cup Yacht Club. Run in even-numbered years (alternating with the Transpac’s odd years), it races keelboats and shorthanded entries under various handicap divisions on the downwind trade-wind route. Nicknamed the “fun race to Hawaii,” it draws a mix of cruising and racing crews crossing the Pacific.
