Parallel operation switchboard

A parallel-operation switchboard is a main switchboard fitted with the synchronizing and load-sharing equipment needed to run generators in parallel on a common bus. It carries the synchroscope and check-synchronizer, voltage and frequency meters for incoming and running sides, governor raise/lower and excitation controls, and the generator breakers with reverse-power, overcurrent, and under-voltage protection. The synchronizing panel ensures a set is connected only at matched voltage, frequency, and phase, while load sharing through governor and AVR droop, often automated by the power management system, divides active and reactive load. It meets IEC 60092 board construction rules.
