SEEMP Part III

SEEMP Part III is the CII implementation plan, mandatory for ships of 5,000 GT and above since 1 January 2023 under MARPOL Annex VI Reg.28. It documents how the ship will achieve its required carbon intensity each year through 2030: the target rating, the measures planned, and a self-evaluation cycle. If the ship is rated D for three consecutive years or E for one year, Part III must be revised to include a corrective action plan, audited and stamped by the administration or a recognized organization before the next certificate is issued.
