11-foot plastic single-handed dinghy.
The Topper is a single-handed training and racing dinghy designed by Ian Proctor in 1969, 3.40 m (11 ft 2 in) long, one of the first boats injection-molded in polypropylene for mass production. It carries a single una rig (mainsail only) of 5.3 or 4.8 square metres, a daggerboard, and is sailed with hiking. It is a World Sailing International Class and an RYA youth pathway boat, with over 48,000 built. The Topper is not an Olympic class.
