National hydrographic office, publisher of Admiralty Charts.

The UKHO is the UK’s national hydrographic office at Taunton, publisher of Admiralty Charts and Publications used worldwide, including the Admiralty List of Lights, Sailing Directions (Pilots), Tide Tables, and the ADMIRALTY Vector Chart Service (AVCS) for ENCs. It traces to the Hydrographer of the Navy post created in 1795. Its Weekly Notices to Mariners are the correction stream for Admiralty paper and digital products, used far beyond UK-flag ships.
