Wartsila Sulzer X92

The Wartsila-Sulzer X92 is a two-stroke, low-speed, crosshead propulsion engine with a 920 mm bore, the largest of the Generation X series, designed for ultra-large container vessels. It was launched under Wartsila and is now a WinGD product, since WinGD took over the Wartsila two-stroke business in January 2015 as a joint venture with China State Shipbuilding Corporation. The X92 power range runs roughly 24,420 to 73,560 kW at about 70 to 80 rpm in 6 to 12 cylinders, and it first powered CMA CGM mega-class container ships. It is the diesel base from which WinGD developed the X92-B and the X-DF dual-fuel variants.
