WinGD X92-B

The WinGD X92-B is a two-stroke, low-speed, crosshead diesel engine with a 920 mm bore, an updated member of WinGD’s Generation X large-bore line for ultra-large container vessels. It refines the original Wartsila-Sulzer X92 with improved stroke-to-bore ratio, cylinder power, and shaft speed for better propulsion efficiency on big container ships. The X92-B is a single-fuel diesel platform, but it is engineered to be retrofitted or extended to high-pressure LNG, methanol, ethanol, or ammonia, and it is the base on which WinGD built the high-pressure diesel-cycle X-DF-HP dual-fuel engine, with first X-DF-HP deliveries planned for 2028.
