Xenon Flashing Light

A xenon flashing light is a high-intensity beacon using a xenon-filled flash tube that discharges a brief, very bright pulse, giving a sharp flash visible at long range by day and night. They serve as obstruction lights on structures, marker beacons on offshore platforms and tall masts, and rapid-flash aids where a conventional incandescent or LED light lacks the peak intensity. The flash characteristic (rhythm and period) follows IALA conventions so the light can be identified; flash duration is typically a few milliseconds.
