Australian sail training brigantine.
Young Endeavour is a brigantine sail-training ship gifted by the United Kingdom to Australia in 1988 for the bicentenary and operated by the Royal Australian Navy. She runs youth development voyages, typically 11 days, during which a crew of about 24 young Australians aged 16 to 23 learn square-rig seamanship, watchkeeping, and navigation under a small naval staff and take command of the ship for the final stage. Based in Sydney, the program has trained tens of thousands of participants since its first voyage in 1988.
