British Standard for maritime works.

BS 6349 is the British Standard for maritime works, the governing code of practice for the planning, design, and construction of harbors, quays, jetties, dolphins, and coastal structures in UK and Commonwealth practice. It is published in multiple parts: Part 1-1 covers planning and design of operations, Part 1-2 assessment of actions, Part 1-3 geotechnical design, Part 1-4 materials, Part 2 quay walls, jetties and dolphins, Part 3 shipyards and sea locks, Part 4 fendering and mooring systems, Part 5 dredging and land reclamation, and Part 6 inshore moorings and floating structures. Designers use it alongside the Eurocodes for limit-state load and resistance checks.
