Distance Learning Maritime Programs

Shore-based maritime education delivered remotely so working seafarers and shipping professionals can study without leaving employment. Lloyd’s Maritime Academy (part of Informa Connect) is a long-running provider, offering distance-learning courses and postgraduate awards in maritime law, ship finance, marine surveying, and shipping management, some validated with Middlesex University and the World Maritime University. These programs suit shore competencies and continuing professional development; mandatory STCW seagoing certificates of competency still require in-person assessment and practical and simulator components.
