- Bridge Team Management, equivalent to BRM, focused on team coordination during navigation.

- Familiarization in fuel transfer operations, often included in tanker and engineering syllabi.
- Buoyancy aid
- Personal flotation device used during certain shipboard training, distinct from SOLAS lifejackets.
