French solo offshore one-design replacing the Beneteau Figaro 2.
The Beneteau Figaro 3 is a 10.85 m solo offshore one-design keelboat, designed by VPLP and introduced in 2017 to replace the Figaro 2. It is the first production monohull one-design fitted with retractable foils, used in the Solitaire du Figaro and other shorthanded French circuit races. The strict one-design rule means crews race identical boats, so results reflect sailor skill rather than equipment. It is the standard platform for French solo-racing apprenticeship.
