Flying Fifteen
F4. Recreational Boating, Yachting and SportDefinition
Uffa Fox-designed two-person keelboat.
The Flying Fifteen is a two-person racing keelboat designed by Uffa Fox in 1947, 6.10 m (20 ft) long on a planing-style hull with a fixed ballast keel of roughly 175 kg, so it sails without hiking or a trapeze. It carries a mainsail, jib, and spinnaker and is sailed as a strict one-design. World Sailing recognizes it as an International Class with fleets across the UK, Australia, South Africa, and Hong Kong. It is not Olympic but holds biennial world championships.
