Free in store

Free in store (FIS, also free into store) is a delivery term under which the seller delivers goods to the buyer’s nominated premises, its warehouse or store, with all freight, insurance, customs clearance, and onward charges to that point included in the price. Risk and cost pass to the buyer only once the goods arrive at the named premises. FIS is not an ICC Incoterm, so the contract must spell out exactly what it covers, including unloading and import duties, and the precise point where title and risk transfer, to avoid ambiguity. Its closest Incoterms 2020 analogue is Delivered at Place (DAP) or, with import duty included, Delivered Duty Paid (DDP).
