Garment on hanger (GOH) is a method of shipping apparel hung rather than folded, using a container fitted with horizontal bars or rope-and-string systems running its length so coats, suits, and dresses arrive ready for the retail rail. It removes the cost of folding, boxing, and re-pressing at destination and protects high-value or wrinkle-prone garments. GOH equipment comes as bar systems for heavy items and string systems for light ones, fitted into standard 20-foot and 40-foot boxes. Capacity is counted in garments per container, often several thousand, rather than in cubic meters, since hanging space, not floor area, sets the limit.
