General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans, providing global bathymetric grids.
GEBCO, the General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans, is the international reference compilation of seafloor depth, distributed as a global gridded model (the GEBCO_2024 grid at 15 arc-second resolution) blending multibeam tracks, single-beam soundings, and satellite-derived gravity bathymetry. Operating under the IHO and IOC, it is the base bathymetry for ocean models, tsunami modeling, and habitat mapping. The Nippon Foundation-GEBCO Seabed 2030 project drives new data collection.
