University of Greenwich research center.
A cross-faculty maritime research center at the University of Greenwich, based in the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London. Established in September 2015, it succeeded the Greenwich Maritime Institute (1998 to 2014) and sits within the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences. It brings together naval and environmental historians, conservation and coastal-development specialists, and policy researchers, and offers affiliate membership, scholarships, and research collaboration. It is a research and postgraduate hub, not a seafarer-certificate training college.
